Corps Adult Leadership represents the dedicated team of adults who guide, support, and protect our cadets throughout every stage of their training. These individuals serve in specialized roles that strengthen the structure, safety, and professionalism of the Alpha Leader Cadet Corps. Each position is designed to uphold our values, maintain accountability, and ensure every cadet has a safe, positive environment to grow in.
Our adult leaders come from a variety of backgrounds — veterans, former first responders, educators, mentors, and community members — all united by a commitment to youth development. Whether assisting during training, safeguarding cadets, overseeing operations, or providing mentorship, these leaders form the backbone of the Corps’ success.

Below are the core adult positions that make the Alpha Leader Cadet Corps safe, structured, and effective. Each role supports cadet development, reinforces discipline, and strengthens the overall mission of the Corps.
Corps Protection Officer (CPO)
Purpose:
To safeguard cadets and maintain a safe, controlled training environment.
Responsibilities:

Supervise cadet areas during training and events

Assist with check-in, accountability, and movement between locations
-
Monitor boundaries, safety concerns, and unauthorized activity
-
Respond to incidents or emergencies and alert staff
-
Support emergency action plans and evacuation procedures
-
Maintain a visible presence to ensure order and safety

Work closely with Mentor Cadre and Training Instructors
Mentor Cadre
Purpose:
To guide cadets through training, development, and personal growth.
Responsibilities:

Teach foundational discipline, conduct, and Corps values
-
Provide one-on-one support and positive correction
-
Lead small groups during drills and team activities
-
Encourage confidence, teamwork, and respectful behavior
-
Serve as role models and trusted adult mentors

Assist new cadets during Bootcamp integration
Training Instructor (TI)
Purpose:
To facilitate structured training experiences and teach essential cadet skills.
Responsibilities:

Teach basic drill, formations, and leadership exercises

Lead warm-ups, physical conditioning, and group instruction
-
Assist with uniform standards and inspection procedures

Demonstrate proper conduct and discipline

Support cadets who need extra help with training material

Maintain safe and controlled training sessions
Safety & Wellness Officer
Purpose:
To ensure cadet health, safety, and wellbeing throughout all activities.
Responsibilities:

Monitor hydration, heat index, and weather conditions

Maintain first aid kits and safety equipment

Provide immediate care for minor injuries

Ensure training activities meet safety standards
-
Assist with emergency response protocols

Keep cadets safe during physical training, events, and field activities
Logistics & Operations Coordinator
Purpose:
To manage the behind-the-scenes operations that keep the Corps running smoothly.
Responsibilities:

Organize equipment, supplies, and storage areas
-
Set up training zones, stations, and event layouts
-
Track inventory and issue gear to cadets
-
Manage sign-in, rosters, and activity flow
-
Assist with scheduling and operational planning
-
Support the coordination of ceremonies and large events
Parent Liaison
Purpose:
To maintain communication and support between the Corps and cadet families.
Responsibilities:

Provide parents with updates, schedules, and expectations
-
Answer questions and guide new families
-
Assist with arrival, dismissal, and parent involvement
-
Help resolve minor concerns or communication issues
-
Support Corps leadership during events and meetings
Administrative Support Officer
Purpose:
To handle the paperwork and organizational details of the Corps.
Responsibilities:

Maintain cadet records, attendance, and registration
-
Assist with document preparation and form management
-
Help coordinate volunteer schedules
-
Support communication through emails, reminders, and updates
-
Keep administrative processes organized and efficient
⭐ Food Services Officer (FSO)
Purpose:
To provide safe, organized, and properly prepared meals, snacks, and hydration support for cadets and staff during ALCC activities, events, and extended training sessions.
Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and serve meals or snacks during field days, bootcamps, and special events
-
Ensure all food meets safety, allergy, and hygiene standards
-
Maintain a clean, organized food prep and serving area
-
Track dietary needs, restrictions, and parent-provided notes
-
Coordinate with Logistics & Operations for supplies, equipment, and storage
-
Manage hydration stations and ensure cadets have access to water
-
Oversee distribution of meals fairly and efficiently
-
Assist in planning menus for extended events or outdoor activities
-
Work closely with Safety & Wellness Officers to monitor cadet wellbeing
